Paula Anderson, BA, CPC, CCAT - Founder/Program Director
She graduated from Lemoyne-Owen College with a BA Degree in English in 1996. She has 21 years experience in the Healthcare Reimbursement Industry. She holds two current certifications as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) through the AAPC and Certified Clinical Account Technician (CCAT) with AAHAM. In 2003, she founded Healthcare Professionals of Memphis, Inc. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc and the mother of one son, Eric Ryan. The goal of HPOM is to educate and empower clients who are seeking a certification in medical billing and coding.
Delores J Brown– Board Chairman
She attended Manassas High School and Shelby State Community College . She has worked in the medical field for 35 years and the past 20 years in Medical Billing and Collections. She is currently employed with the Family Cancer Center in Collierville, Tennessee. Her current role is Board Chairman. She has been a part of Healthcare Professionals since the inception in 2003. Delores is married with three adult children.
Keith Butler - Board Member
Keith Butler is the Agency Principal and owner of an Allstate Insurance Agency. Butler joined Allstate Insurance Co. in 2005 after stints with American Express Financial Advisors and Edward Jones. He has been responsible for building and maintaining a thriving insurance and financial services customer base by providing a variety of services including automobile, property, business, life insurance, and investment options for individuals and businesses.
He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman over several committees. One of the fraternity’s main objectives is service. Butler and his brethren have served their community by adopting an elementary school and establishing a mentoring and tutoring program. Now in its twelfth year, through his tutoring and mentoring efforts, the school has been removed from their at-risk status with the state of Tennessee. Butler received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He received a master of science in education and leadership from the University of Memphis as well as a master of business administration from the University of Memphis.
